My come-up from terrible singer to professional:

Singr founder Justin Burke’s transformation

It’s humbling that I coach top singers today because I used to SUCK at singing…

As you can see in the transformation video above, not only did the people who saw that now privated video tell me I sounded like a dying cat, but I was also the typical nerdy kid with no friends.

At that time my hobbies were to sit behind a computer and code video games.

Music was an escape for me. I looked up to my favorite singers. I thought their lives looked like a movie. I would sit behind my computer day dreaming about having that life. I wanted to become a singer so bad, but I had zero natural talent.

I thought it was impossible to learn, but I also knew I’d regret it for the rest of my life if I didn’t put the video games down and try to improve and see what could happen.

I committed 100% to the learning process. I knew I wasn’t going to figure it out alone. I knew I needed mentorship.

After years of working with the some of the best coaches in the industry, taking every course I could get my hands on, and testing my own techniques, I finally did what I (and I’m sure most thought) was the impossible...

I went from being a computer-addicted kid who couldn’t sing to save his life to becoming a pro singer.

Since then I've released original music, toured my nation performing my music, hit close to 2 million subscribers, and even met my fiance through singing. I couldn't imagine what my life would look like if I never went on this journey of learning to sing.

You can learn MUCH quicker than I did.

My mistakes made the learning process take longer, and most people make the same mistakes. If I knew what I know now, I could have learned so much faster.

That’s exactly why I created Singr. It’s exactly what I wish I had on my come up. (I still use the vocal workouts to daily)

Let me explain…

The 8-step method:

The reason I used to suck at singing was because I hadn't connected my mind to my vocal cords...

The only reason that you haven't reached your vocal potential is because you haven't fully connected your mind to your vocal cords.

Learning to sing is just creating new neural pathways in the mind.

Most people believe you have to be born with a singing voice because kids that start singing young have an easier time singing as an adult. That's only because kids are more neural plastic meaning they learn faster.

As an adult, you can learn to sing fast too, but you have to get more strategic about it.

The framework to improve faster:

You now know that learning to sing is just developing new neural pathways in your mind. The faster we connect your mind to your vocal cords the faster you’ll love your voice when you sing.

It's simple, but so many make it overly complex.

There are 2 critical rules for improving fast:

#1: Learn in a specific & focused 8 component order.

#2: Use highly focused vocal exercises (not generic ones you'll find on YouTube).

We build the voice like we build a house & we must lay a strong foundation before adding aesthetics.

Learn in this 8 component order to improve the fastest (each component builds off the next):

1 Breathing | 2 Pitch | 3 Tone | 4 Expanding Range | 5 Connecting Your Range | 6 Control & Dynamics | 7 Riffs & Runs | 8 Style & Emotion

When you learn in this order, your mind doesn't get overwhelmed. The neural pathways for singing are developed faster.

Each new skill builds on the other. Your voice exponentially improves. By the time you lock in the 8th component, you're going to have a holistically great voice.

How long will this take?

Even if you're starting with no singing experience, you can develop these 8 components in 3 months & get good in a year or less.

You might think that sounds too get to be true, but it's not. Check out transformations on the site.

Not a bad time investment to get a voice you love.

Now let's talk about rule #2: 'Use highly focused vocal exercises.'

Remember, learning to sing 10x faster is all about extreme focus, one component at a time until you finish all eight.

For example, if you're wanting to develop better pitch accuracy, you need to work with an exercise that isolates just pitch.

If you use a typical vocal exercise, your brain will have to focus on pitch, tone, airflow, voice muscle coordinations, etc.

That messes up the learning process.

Typical exercises will overwhelm your brain at a subconscious level and cause you to learn extremely slow.

That was a HUGE mistake I made in the first few years of learning.

Would you like to do this with me?

I can guide you through this method:

  • Your skill development will compound

  • You'll do less, but get better results

  • Neural pathways will be created fast due to highly precise exercise progressions

  • You'll develop a holistically great voice faster than you think possible.

I'd love to really show you how all this is done in Singr.

See you on the inside whenever you're ready.
